Growth in e-learning to continue into 2015
18th February 2014
A survey has shown that the international market for e-learning products will have increased by over $10 billion in the five years leading up to 2015.
The survey, by Ambient Insight Research, shows that the most successful methods of disseminating e-learning include step-by-step guides, ‘how to’ videos, and course notes which allow for multimedia annotations by users.
E-learning has revolutionised learning, with the availability of new interactive content and uncapped internet connectivity allowing e-learning to really triumph over more traditional forms of learning. The survey has acknowledge these benefits, noting that convenience, relevance, immediacy, affordability, and ease of use, are crucial to the growth of the e-learning market.
According to additional research by Key Note, instructor-led training is the largest sector within the e-learning market, with e-learning teaching presenting the highest growth over the 2005-2009 period.
